MENLO PARK, Calif. (December 13, 2021) — At the American Geophysical Society’s (AGU) Annual Fall Meeting 2021, several data scientists from One Concern, a resilience analytics firm, will give five separate presentations detailing the company’s latest flood models for Japan.

One Concern will discuss the way advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning models can be paired with the latest in physics and statistics-based models to understand how coastal and riverine flooding events can impact both built and natural environments.

AGU Fall Meeting is the most influential event dedicated to the advancement of Earth and space sciences. Every year, the event brings a diverse community of more than 20,000 scientists, students, journalists, policymakers, organizations, and educators from more than 100 countries for the world’s largest Earth and space science conference.
